TULSA, Oklahoma – After seven season as the broadcaster for the Tulsa Oilers, Steve McCall has accepted a position as vice-president of communications for the Mississippi Surge of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

"Steve has done a great job for us and we wish him the best in this new opportunity in his career," Oilers general manager Taylor Hall said. "With his enthusiasm we know he will be successful in the future."

McCall's departure comes after he recently became the longest serving broadcaster in Oilers history.
