TULSA, Oklahoma -- A downed power line may have sparked a grass fire that destroyed equipment and threatened a business in northeast Tulsa Sunday night.

Fire officials say thick black smoke was spotted just off Highway 169 by a passerby around 8:00 p.m.

Tulsa fire crews were called in to battle the blaze but had to call for extra help as windswept flames quickly spread the fire.

At one point, the fire came close to a Tulsa business but fire crews acted quickly to contain the blaze. Equipment belonging to the business and several railroad ties were destroyed.

There were no injuries.
