CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Drillers picked up an extra innings win thanks in large part – or perhaps entirely thanks to – the bat of third baseman Darin Holcomb.

Tulsa pulled off a 5-4 victory in 10 innings on Saturday, with all five runs coming courtesy of Holcomb.

Tulsa gave up several leads before driving in the winning run in the top of the 10th inning. Holcomb singled to right field to bring home Ben Paulsen, who had reached base on a base hit to start the inning.

The Hooks exited the first inning with a 1-0 lead, but Tulsa responded in the top of the third.

Holcomb also started off the scoring for the Drillers. He doubled in the bottom of the third to bring in Tim Wheeler and Ben Paulsen for a 2-1 lead.

The Drillers scored again in the fifth and seventh innings and held a 4-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh.

Corpus Christi managed to tie the game with two runs in the seventh, but couldn't respond in extra innings when it counted the most.

Holcomb had a monster night with four hits in five at-bats to go with his five RBIs. Wheeler and Paulsen each scored two runs and Thomas Field had the other one.

Dustin Molleken got the win for Tulsa, throwing two innings and giving up one hit.

The Drillers will head to San Antonio on Sunday to start a series at 6:05 p.m.
