TULSA, Oklahoma – With their playoff hopes on the line, the Tulsa Talons responded with a 70-33 blowout of the Tampa Bay Storm Saturday.

Everything seemed to swing in the Talons' favor from the very beginning. The Storm fumbled the opening kickoff and Tulsa linebacker Jamar Ransom recovered it in the end zone, giving the Talons the lead mere seconds into the game.

From that point forward, the Talons dominated on both sides of the ball. They led by 50 points at the end of the third quarter and finished with 70 points despite not scoring in the fourth.

Quarterback Justin Allgood went 21-of-34 with seven touchdowns, four of which he threw to Brandon Copeland, who finished with 107 yards.

Not to be outdone, the Tulsa defense kept the Storm in check all night. J.C. Neal filled up the stat sheet, recording an interception, forced fumble, fumble recovery, three deflected passes and six tackles. The Talons forced a total of five turnovers and another three turnovers on downs.

The outcome kept Tulsa's slim playoff hopes alive while also eliminating the Storm from contention for just the third time in its history. The loss was also the Storm's third worst in franchise history.

The Talons still need to win both of their final two games of the season and will require some help from other teams, and will stay at home for their next game against the Orlando Predators at 7:05 p.m.
