SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Tulsa Drillers suffered their third straight loss to San Antonio Tuesday after the Missions won game three and completed the sweep with an 8-4 game three victory.

Despite a late game push in the seventh and eighth innings, the Drillers committed two errors and struggled to get anything going offensively.

San Antonio got on the board first in the bottom of the Second. With two outs Andy Parrino singled on a groundball to center. Then a balk by Tulsa advanced Parrino to second. Dean Anna then knocked a single that Drillers shortstop Hector Gomez struggled with and committed a throwing error that scored Parrino from second. Later, Eddy Rodriguez doubled on a fly ball to left to score Anna and give San Antonio the 2-0 lead.

Tulsa tacked on its first runs of the ball game in the top of the third. Lead-off batter Brian Rike doubled to start the inning, then with two ours Tim Wheeler smashed a ball to right field for his 23rd home run of the season to make it 2-2.

The Missions added another run in the bottom of the fourth off a home run by Parrino, his second of the year.

San Antonio used the fifth and sixth innings to build its lead. In the bottom of the fifth the Missions added a total of three runs thanks to singles and advancing runners along with throwing error by Drillers catcher Wilin Rosario. Sawyer Carroll also knocked a two run homer to left, his 12th of the season to put San Antonio up 8-2.

Tulsa tried to get things going in the seventh, but only managed one run off a single by Hector Gomez.

Tim Wheeler continued his streak at the plate in the eighth, hitting his second home run of the game and 24th of the season to narrow the gap to 8-4 but it wouldn't be enough.

Tulsa looks to get back on track at home as they return to action Thursday hosting the Arkansas Travelers at 7:05 p.m.
