Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for several counties, including McClain, Grady, Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Canadian counties.

According to OG&E's website, the storm knocked out electricity to more than 13,000 customers in Oklahoma City, Del City, Midwest City, Guthrie, Warr Acres and Yukon.

The rain was welcome news as many parts of the state are dealing with a drought. Most of eastern Oklahoma is currently experiencing a moderate drought, while western parts of the state are exceptionally dry.
