JENKS, Oklahoma -- A youth baseball umpire knows exactly what can happen in this excessive heat. During a tournament Saturday in Jenks, he suddenly passed out behind the plate.
Parents rushed to help him and he came to shortly after he collapsed. The fire department and EMSA treated the man on the scene.
EMSA has treated more than 200 patients this summer for heat-related illness.
