Antiques Roadshow Makes History In Tulsa

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Antiques Roadshow broke a record Saturday. The most valuable item in the show's 16-year history was appraised right here in Tulsa.

The item is a collection of 17th century rhinoceros horn carvings valued at $1 Million to $1.5 million, according to a posting on the show's Twitter account.

The show did not identify the owners of the antique carvings.

Thousands from around the region crowded the downtown Convention Center Saturday when the popular PBS program made a stop in Tulsa. More than More than 10,000 appraisals were expected.

The Tulsa episode is scheduled to air in 2012.
