Broken Arrow Firefighter Injured In House Fire

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- A Broken Arrow firefighter was sent to the hospital after falling trying to fight a fire Sunday.

A Fire Captain told News On 6 the firefighter is going to be okay, that he's being just being held overnight for observation.

Crews were called out to a home burning in the 7500 block of south 3rd Street in Broken Arrow Sunday afternoon.

The fire department says the homeowner didn't know his attic was on fire, a neighbor actually spotted the flames and called for help.

The house is a total loss.

Investigators are looking into what caused the fire. No one was hurt inside the home.
