TULSA, Oklahoma -- At least five Tulsa homeowners were awakened early Monday when vandals broke windows in their homes.

Plastic tarps cover over some of the damage to homes in east Tulsa after an early morning vandalism spree that left thousands of dollars in damage.

Someone --police don't know who--threw bricks through front windows on five homes, in some cases through several windows. The police responded, but didn't catch the vandals.

"I just don't understand why people do what they do, I just don't," said a homeowner, whose house was hit by one of the vandals.

The commotion woke up the neighborhood just after 4:30 Monday morning. At one home, the vandals took bricks from the flower bed and broke out a large picture window, and hit the TV on the other side.

The vandalism was centered around 21st and Garnett, with all the homes within a mile of the intersection and all of the crimes happening between 4:30 and 5:30 in the morning.

No one saw whoever did it, so the police don't have much to go on. And the homeowners are left with expensive repairs.

"Are you that bored, where at 5 o'clock in the morning you have to go and vandalize a home, working people's home, or anybody's home, but especially people who work hard for their money. Now we have to take time off and get this replaced," a homeowner said.

The vandals threw a concrete duck through another window and even though several of the broken windows were in bedrooms. No one was hit on the inside.

Vandals also hit a Tulsa car dealership just a few miles away Monday morning. Police say someone threw a brick into the windshield of an SUV at Don Carlton Honda at 41st and Memorial.

The sales manager tells News On 6 the brick bounced off of the Honda Pilot and into another car.

Tulsa Police are hoping to get some tips on what happened through crime stoppers, but say at this point, they have no suspects - and nothing to go on.

If you know anything about the vandalism, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
