OKLAHOMA CITY -- Gov. Mary Fallin is taking to social media for a town hall meeting.
The Tulsa World reports Fallin will be the first person featured on a Facebook town hall meeting being sponsored by the Oklahoma Republican Party.
The meeting is set for noon on Aug. 4 on the OKGOP Facebook page.
Fallin says using Facebook will allow her to "speak directly with Oklahomans from all over the state." She says she's happy the state GOP has organized the effort.
During the meeting, Fallin will deliver remarks using a streaming live video feed from the state GOP headquarters in Oklahoma City. She'll also field questions submitted in advance on the OKGOP page.
State Republican Party Chairman Matt Pinnell says the meeting is expected to last about 45 minutes.
