TULSA, Oklahoma -- Both Muldrow and Daniel Webster entered Thursday’s contest desperate for a win. Both came in at 2-4 overall, needing a win to stay in the district picture. In the end, Webster made enough plays in the fourth quarter to come away with a 31-28 win.

Muldrow was able to control the pace of the game early thanks to the running of Justin Shofner. He got the bulk of the carries, and Webster had a lot of trouble slowing him down. Muldrow would grab an early 14-6 lead.

Webster would rally, though. Jakii Moore caught a nine-yard touchdown from Doug Wiley in the second quarter. After the missed two-point conversion, Webster trailed 14-12. A defensive stand later in the quarter would allow the Warriors to go into the half with that same deficit.

The key for the Webster Bulldogs this season has been to score 20 points. They eclipsed that mark in the second half and went on to win the game. That ups their record to 3-0 when they score at least 20. They are 0-4 when they do not.

Muldrow has now lost four straight and falls to 2-5 (0-4 in district). The Bulldogs will look to rebound next week at home against a strong Fort Gibson team.

Webster (3-4, 1-3) will hit the road next week to take on Wagoner (4-3).
