SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- In the first game of the season, Sand Springs quarterback Johnny Deaton broke his collarbone on a non-contact play. Just over a month later, Deaton was back and playing for the Sand Springs Sandites (3-3, 1-2) in their big matchup at home against the Broken Arrow Tigers (4-2, 2-1). Unfortunately, having their star quarterback back in the lineup couldn’t help theSandites get it going as they fellto the Tigers 49-21. Next up for the Sandites are the Claremore Zebras at home.
