TULSA, Oklahoma – The Edison Lady Eagles won the regional round after taking down the Claremore Lady Zebras 63-55 Saturday afternoon. Three Lady Eagles scored in double figures.

Edison had no trouble hitting the deep ball in the first half. They knocked down nine three pointers in the first two quarters to take the lead into halftime. Danara Day, Auriel Drink and Jennifer Johnson each scored 11 points for the Lady Eagles in the game.

Claremore played from behind the entire afternoon. The mid-range jumpers that they were able to knock down against Will Rogers Thursday night didn’t fall against Edison. Jordan Schultz scored 18 points to lead the Lady Zebras.

Edison wins the regional round, but both teams advance to the area tournament.
