Silo won its third straight spring baseball title after defeating Oktaha 3-2. It was a rematch of the fall state championship game.

Oktaha loaded the bases early in the top of the first. They went up 1-0 in the top of the first after Logan Oller walked Daolton Perry to force the first run of the game. Silo got out of the jam and Oktaha left the bases loaded.

"I was having a lot of control problems at the first about the third inning I finally started getting into a rhythm and making things happen," Oller said.

Oktaha's Cale Elam did not give up a hit until the bottom of the third when Oller hit a hard grounder past the first baseman but Silo could not capitalize.

Silo finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth when Jared Sterling hit an RBI single to left that would tie it up at 1.

In the bottom of the fifth Silo's Keach Ballard hit a solo shot to center, giving Silo its first lead 2-1.

Hendricks added another run with an RBI single that gave the Rebels the 3-1 lead.

Oktaha scored a run in the top of the seventh on a Daniely Hayes single, but Oller finished things up for the Rebels, getting Perry to fly out to right to Cameron Proctor for the final out.

Silo clinched the 3-2 and the Class 2A title.

"It's always exciting. It's new people, especially whenever you are a senior and you are leaving now and you don't have another shot at it, it really makes it special,” Oller said.

Oller gave up just three hits and two runs for his eleventh state tournament win.

"He's a battler. You know he's been there so much. That's his eleventh state tournament win and that's just unbelievable,” head coach Billy Jack Bowen said. “I think he is 5-1 or 6-1 in state championship games so from him we kind of expect it but he really gutted it out."

Bowen was particularly proud of his seniors, all of which plan on playing baseball at the next level.

"Those guys are great players. They really are. All those kids are going on to play college ball and they have done it for us all year for us so we kind of expect it from them you know and against a great pitcher like Elam, it's really special," Bowen said.
