BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – Archie Bradley improved to 3-0 in the Muskogee – Broken Arrow rivalry after leading his team to a 70-13 win over the Roughers Friday night. The 70 points were the most scored in school history.

Bradley relied on the Tigers’ running game early on against the Roughers. Richie Fruechting scored rushing touchdowns on each of Broken Arrow’s first two possessions. The Tigers jumped out to a 21-0 lead after Cameron Wrenn’s 22-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Bradley made what looked to be an early critical mistake in the second quarter. Threatening in the red zone, Broken Arrow faced 3rd and 12. Bradley threw to the sideline, but Aaron Fowler jumped the rout and intercepted the ball. Fowler returned the ball to the Tigers’ 16-yard line.

Broken Arrow’s defense responded by intercepting Roughers quarterback Victor Williams two plays later.

Bradley, an Oklahoma commit, led the Roughers to a 25-22 win in 2008, and the Tigers to a 37-6 win in 2009.

Muskogee is 3-2 after starting 0-5 in 2009. The Roughers started their brutal three game gauntlet by narrowly escaping Southmoore with a win a week ago. After the loss against Broken Arrow, the Roughers now try to salvage the midseason challenge by hosting Jenks next week.

The Tigers (4-1/2-0) travel to Sapulpa in Week 6. After two weeks of district play, the Tigers are in the thick of the 6A-3 race, just behind Norman (5-0/ 2-0).
