TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa Central defeated the Pryor Tigers 19-17 on Thursday night in both teams’ final games of the season.

Central improved to 3-4 in the district standings, but even with a Claremore loss (tying the teams in district standings), Claremore would hold the tiebreaker and clinch the final playoff spot.

Quarterback Milton Harper connected twice with receiver Terry Finch in the first half, helping Central to an early lead.

They extended the lead in the third quarter on a 12-yard run from D’Angelo Brewer to make it 19-10.

Pryor scored at the end of the third to cut the lead to 19-17, but couldn’t muster another score.

The Tigers (4-6, 2-5) also missed out on a playoff spot. East Central, Coweta, Grove and Claremore will claim the spots for District 5A-4.
