Velma-Alma: The undefeated Comets are looking to redeem themselves after losing in the second round of the playoffs last year. They’ve blown out most of their competition, racking up five shut outs this season, including three in the second half of the season. This team will definitely be a contender for the state title.

Ringling: The Blue Devils are heading into the postseason with momentum on their side. They’ve won the last of their five games, averaging a 40.8 margin of victory in the second half of their season and are back this year looking for blood. Last season, they went unbeaten until falling to Watonga in the second round.

Woodland: The Cougars are top ranked in Class A and have a bulls eye on their backs, but it’s not like that’ll stop them. They fell out of the playoffs last season after losing by one point in the final seconds of double overtime to Commerce. This season, their offense posted double-digit wins over their competition but will definitely see stiffer competition as the playoffs continue.

Cashion: The Wildcats are second-ranked in their class, trailing only to Woodland. Their only loss this season came at the hands of Watonga, but Cashion has since picked up the pace and will face Turpin in the first round.

Okeene: The Whippets are third in Class A, behind Woodland and Cashion. They fell to the Wildcats by only one touchdown. They’ll definitely be thirsty for a win after getting bumped out of the playoffs in the first round last year. They’re confidence is high, coming off a 47-point shutout over Wellston.
