OKLAHOMA CITY -- The field in Class 6A has been narrowed from 16 to eight teams and one top team has already fallen.

Round 2 pits conflicting styles against each other – including some of the top talents in the state against each other – and has two squads looking to pull off upsets in the second round.

Broken Arrow Tigers (9-2) at Lawton Wolverines (11-0)

Broken Arrow is coming into their second-round matchup after dismantling the Bartlesville Bruins in round one, without the aid of star quarterback Archie Bradley. The Elite-11 quarterback is expected to play this week so the Tigers’ offense should be at full force Friday. The Wolverines topped Edmond Memorial by 11 points to keep their season alive. The Wolverines are still easily one of the most talented squads in the class with running back Daequan Wojciechowski, receiver Tyrequek Zimmerman and quarterback Cody Miller.

Owasso Rams (7-4) at Westmoore Jaguars (6-5)

Perhaps the biggest surprise of Round 1 was the Westmoore Jaguars upset win over the Midwest City Bombers 14-13. The Jaguars got it done defensively, keeping the Bombers off the board for two quarters. The win over the Bombers snapped a two-game losing streak for the Jaguars. Owasso had a bit of a more high-scoring affair in the win over Norman, escaping with a 51-44 win in the opening round. Quarterback Jaylen Lowe connected on a record six touchdown passes, all six to receiver Joe Lindsey. The 44 points allowed to the Tigers was the third highest point total the Rams have allowed this season.

Edmond North Huskies (6-5) at Union Redskins (10-1)

The Huskies are riding high on a three-game win streak including a first-round, seven-point win over the Yukon Millers. Edmond North has allowed just 31 points over the past three games, while scoring 111. The defense must step up when they travel east to take on the Union Redskins. Union has scored more than 50 points in its last three games, for an average margin of victory of 43 points over the last three games. The Huskies will try to pull of the second huge upset of the 2010 playoffs and keep their quest for a Gold Ball alive.
