LAWTON, Oklahoma -- The Lawton Wolverines continued their quest for a Gold Ball Friday with a 35-21 win over the Broken Arrow Tigers.

Lawton (12-0) drew first blood nearly six minutes into the game with a nine-yard touchdown by Daequan Wojciechwoski.

The Tigers (9-3) missed a field goal attempt on their next drive, however an errant snap on a Lawton punt attempt scored Broken Arrow’s first points of the game to close to a 6-2 deficit.

On the Wolverines’ next possession, quarterback Brandon Bartlett connects with Demarios Littles for an 85-yard to give Lawton a 13-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Less than two minutes into the second quarter, Broken Arrow’s Richie Fruechting punched it in from three yards out to pull within five points. Lawton capped off a long drive with a one-yard run by Bartlett to take a 20-8 lead.

Fruechting added one more to his touchdown total with a two-yard touchdown run to close the gap to six points. Lawton went into halftime leading 20-14 a score that would remain through the third quarter.

Nearly four minutes into the fourth quarter, Bartlett hooked up with Tyrequek Zimmerman on a 46-yard touchdown. The Wolverines converted on the two-point conversion attempt to take a 28-14 lead. Zimmerman then went 61-yards for a score to push the lead to 35-14.

Broken Arrow scored on a 69-yard touchdown pass to close the gap to 35-21, but Lawton wouldn’t surrender another score.

The Wolverines advance to the semifinals to take on the high-powered Union Redskins, who topped Edmond North 58-17.
