EDMOND, Okla. – The Enid Plainsmen held off Western Heights 60-45 on Friday in the first round of tournament play.


Western Heights made several runs to hang around, but Enid was able to keep its lead through the fourth, even as things got heated and two technicals were called within 15 seconds.


Alex Patterson of Enid had 24 points to lead all scorers. Michael Foote added 14 for the Plainsmen.


Alton Whittaker led Western Heights with 12 points.
