OKLAHOMA CITY - - Cheyenne-Reydon’s overcame two fourth quarter deficits to knock off previously unbeaten Stuart 62-60 Friday in a double-overtime thriller.

Cheyenne-Reydon trailed by seven early in the fourth quarter, but Stuart turnovers left the door open. The Bears scored eight unanswered – including three from Austin Thrash – to take a 37-36 lead.

After trading the lead twice, Stuart scored three quick points with two minutes left in the game to retake the lead 44-41.

The Hornets maintained the lead until the closing seconds of the game, when Thrash hit a pull-up three-pointer with nine left on the clock to send the game to overtime.

Thrash scored the first basket of overtime, but Stuart senior Colton Chapman knocked down a pull-up jumper to tie the game 50-50 and head into the second extra period.

Moler converted on a three-point play in the opening seconds of the second overtime to give Cheyenne-Reydona 53-50 lead. Thrash tacked on a pair of free throws to extend the lead to five points.

Trailing 57-52 in the closing moments of overtime, Stuart’s Hayden Hokit hit a three-ball of his own to close the deficit to two points. However, Cheyenne-Reydon converted on three free throw attempts to seal the game.

Stuart’s Zack Mayberry led all scorers with 23 points, with brother Bo Mayberry and Hokit adding 11 points.

Thrash and Adler Seymour set the pace for the Bears with 15 points, while Moler contributed12.

Cheyenne-Reydon will now face off against another tough squad, the 29-1 Ft Cobb-Broxton Mustangs at 3 p.m. Friday.
