EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Despite being a team known for its pitching, the Edmond Santa Fe offense stole the show in a 17 to 7 run-rule win over cross-town rival Edmond North in the Edmond Classic.

Before the game Lonny Cobble was honored for his 500th career win, coming after Wolves beat Moore in their first game of the day at the tournament.

Kyle Lacy got things going for Santa Fe, putting the Wolves on the board first with a stand-up RBI double to score Garrett Crain. The Wolves batted through the line up and hung nine runs on the Huskies in the first frame.

Santa Fe pitcher Ty Hensley got a quick three-up, three-down for the Wolves and it was back to the bats.

The Wolves scored seven more runs, capped off by a grand slam by Jackson Matthews, to take a 16-0 lead headed into the bottom of the 2nd. Jackson also recorded an RBI double in the first inning.

Conor Costello hit two triples for the Edmond Santa Fe, an RBI triple in the first, and led off the 2nd with a stand-up triple.

After Coach Cobble recorded 501, he and the Wolves will go for No. 502 Saturday at 5:00 at Edmond Memorial.
