BIXBY, Oklahoma – In the 6A State Tournament Thursday, Jenks played through their second rain delay in as many nights, losing to Broken Arrow 15-2.

The top-ranked Tigers started the game off with a bang, putting up five runs in the top of the first inning. The inning was highlighted by an Archie Bradley hit that slipped past the right fielder and scored two runs. Bradley ended up on third base. The Tigers would add to their lead in the top of the second, scoring two more runs. In the bottom half of the inning, Broken Arrow starter and University of Oklahoma commit Mason Hope struck out the final batter to end the inning.

Broken Arrow would score one more run in the third, and by the bottom of the fifth, Jenks had added a run to make the score 8-1. The bottom of that inning was also when the game was delayed because of rain. After over an hour, the game resumed amd Broken Arrow continued to pour on the runs. They would score seven more on their way to a thirteen-run victory.

Broken Arrow will play for the right to go the state championship game tomorrow, when they will face either Jenks or Choctaw at 4:00 pm at Spartan Field in Bixby.
