TULSA, Oklahoma -- There will soon be more help for homeless Tulsa teens.

Youth Services Tulsa announced Tuesday it is converting a warehouse into a new drop-in center for at-risk youth.

The facility is part of a campaign to "Defeat the Streets" by giving vulnerable young people a place to eat, shower, do laundry, connect with family and friends and look for jobs online.

For some, the drop-in center is a place to get a good night's rest.

"They don't feel safe out on the street, and so it's a place they know they can come in and fall asleep and no one's going to hurt them or steal from them," said Jim Walker, Youth Services Tulsa Executive Director.

The new facility is right across from the old drop in center at Third and Madison.
