UNDATED -- Some Green Country firefighters got a helping hand – and a cool drink – during the intense wildfires earlier this month. Osage Casinos at Tulsa, Sand Springs and Hominy donated dozens of cases of water and ice to rural fire departments as crews battled grass fires in 110-plus temperatures.
"Volunteers count on donated resources," said Cecilia Burris, an Osage Casino employee whose husband Paul is fire chief at Prue.

"They need food and water and need their blood pressure checked. They were in heavy gear, and it was 112 degrees outside."
The casino group also provided water to rural fire departments in Noble County.
