TULSA, Oklahoma -- The first of three murder trials involving a killing at a Tulsa Rib Crib ended Friday night. The jury deliberated for three hours before returning guilty verdicts on all counts for the first defendant to stand trial for murder.

The jury is recommending Isaiah Peevy serve life for the murder of Rib Crib cook Bud Stoddard, but they did leave the door open for the possibility of parole.

Testimony began Tuesday in Peevy's trial. On top of the murder count, he was tried on seven counts of robbery and burglary.

Both sides rested Friday.

The Tulsa County jury watched a nearly three-hour video tape of 21-year-old Isaiah Peevy's statement to police, taken on May 21st, 2010.

The night before, Howard 'Bud' Stoddard was shot to death after taking the trash out after hours at Rib Crib near 16th and Harvard. Police say three masked men followed Stoddard back inside, shot him multiple times, then stole $2,000 from the store and robbed the two other employees inside.

Fifty-year-old Stoddard had worked at the restaurant for eight years.

"It's still hard for me to believe it. He was my brother, but he was my best friend and he was like my dad. So it's kind of like they took three people from me, and it's hard to get past that," said Shelly Carasu, Bud Stoddard's sister.

In his video statement, Peevy first denies any involvement in the murder, but eventually tells police he was hungry and entered the restaurant for food.

He later says the gun misfired and he accidentally shot off some bullets, but claims they ricocheted and didn't hit anything.

Police say they hit Stoddard -- a father of eight and grandfather of eleven.

"I just don't know what I'm going to do. I guess I'll just figure it out one day at a time," his sister said.

After the robbery, police say Peevy robbed three University of Tulsa college students at gunpoint, then tossed the gun.

Deonte Marshall is also accused in Stoddard's murder, as well as Peevy's childhood friend, D'Andre Finnie.

Finnie took the stand Thursday for the prosecution and testified the robbery was Peevy's idea, but that he never saw who shot Stoddard.

The defense did not call any witnesses to the stand.
