TULSA, Oklahoma -- One person is hospitalized and another injured after an incident involving an SUV Thursday morning.  It happened around 12:30 a.m. in a neighborhood near Admiral and Memorial.

Police say there was some type of fight around a Ford Explorer and people were standing near it when the driver took off.

One woman was hurt when she was hit by the SUV.  The woman's mother says her daughter was trying to get a friend out of the vehicle's path when it hit her.

According to her mother, she grabbed hold of the front of the SUV to try to avoid being run over, but was dragged then run over by both passenger side tires.

She was taken to a hospital where her mother says the woman is being treated for serious injuries.

A man hanging from the car also fell as it drove away. He was treated and released.

Police located the SUV in another part of town but did not make an arrest. They found an 18-year-old male behind the wheel, and witnesses said a woman was driving when the injuries occurred.
