GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- According to Langston Deputy Chief Paul Bush, the grassfires are contained at this point. However, firefighters are staying at the scene to monitor hot spots in the area.

Homeowners were being evacuated from an area near Highway 77 and County Road 73 as firefighters battled three different wildfires.

Guthrie Police confirmed that the fire was threatening homes, and they evacuated the immediate area that was believed to be in the fire's path.

Crews from Deer Creek, Guthrie, and Oak Cliff responded to this grassfire. No injuries were reported.
