Yesterday was a super great weather day.  The clouds did stick around for most of the day and kept our afternoon highs in the upper 70s across Northern OK with some lower 80s in a few locations.  It's hard to imagine that one week ago we were dealing with highs over 100, and just two weeks ago the highs were from 104 to 108 across the area.  This super nice weather pattern will remain through the end of the week, but we are noticing some minor changes that will eventually bring back some more seasonal air to the region. We're also watching the remnants of Lee that could provide enough lift and moisture for a few storms this weekend across extreme NE OK.

The main upper level ridge will continue to be suppressed to our southwest.  This will keep the northerly or northwesterly flow aloft over the state.  At the surface our air flow will continue to be from the northeast circulating some cool and dry air across the area.

The old "Lee" circulation may retrograde or move in a more westward motion by the weekend.  This system is being modeled a little more aggressively by the incoming NAM products.  We'll add a slight chance of showers and storms for the Saturday periods across extreme northeastern OK.

The EURO continues to support some warmer air arriving next week despite a boundary approaching the region Wednesday morning.

The problem once again resides in the handling or lack thereof regarding the developing tropical system in the Gulf.  Nate is up and running the southern portion of the Gulf.  Low level moisture will once again be confined to the Gulf region and the chance for showers and storms Wednesday will remain on the slim side for this update.

The Wednesday boundary may stall or even become diffuse by Thursday allowing temps to remain above normal for most of next week.  Stay tuned.
