Trial Ordered For Latimer County Couple Charged With Animal Cruelty, Child Neglect

WILBURTON, Oklahoma -- A Wilburton couple charged with child neglect and animal cruelty is headed to trial.

The couple, Anne and Shane Duhon were in a Latimer County courtroom Tuesday for their preliminary hearing.

A judge said there was enough evidence to bound both over for trial.

In June, the Latimer County Sheriff's Office seized nearly 80 animals from the couple on cruelty complaints.

The couple's home is located just outside of Wilburton.

The charges against the Duhon's include one count each of animal cruelty and child neglect.

Their next court date is October 6, 2011.  Both remain in the Latimer County jail on $10,000 bond each.
