TULSA, Oklahoma -- A pair of battle-tested brothers received a patriot's welcome on the home front Wednesday night.

Specialists Mason and Asa Barrett serve in Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade. They're home for two weeks before they have to head back to the frontlines in Afghanistan.

The brothers say they drew strength from each other during the grueling deployment that has already cost 11 Oklahoma soldiers their lives.

"Our prayers go out to the families of the soldiers - our buddies - several of my good friends that have fallen, and it's been a rough ride. An experience, Something that I'm sure I'll never forget," said SPC Asa Barrett.

Despite the late arrival, both Barrett boys say they still want to squeeze in a big steak dinner before bedtime.

Dad says he also wants to take his sons fishing.
