TULSA, Oklahoma – AHL training camps began Monday, and nine players on the Tulsa Oilers roster attended camps with three different American Hockey League Teams.

Out of the nine, six went to Oklahoma City to workout with the Barons, the AHL affiliate for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers. Those headed to OKC include Keserich, Ryan Cramer, Dylan Clarke, Luke Lucyk, Gerome Giudice, and Matt Baxter.

In addition, Oilers winger Patrick Levesque went to camp with the Chicago Wolves, the farm club of the Vancouver Canucks and forward Ryan Raven will be taking part in camp with the Lake Erie Monsters, which is affiliated with the Colorado Avalanche. Finally goaltender Mike Spillane will go to camp with the Springfield Falcons, the farm team of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

"The reason we sign these players to our club is so they have a chance to pursue hockey at a higher level, and we want to push guys toward the next step in their careers," said Oilers head coach Bruce Ramsay. "We want to be known in Tulsa as a place where if you work hard, the opportunity can arise to go to the AAA level."

Last season the Oilers had five players called up to the AHL which ranks second among the 14 teams in the CHL.

The Oilers training camp begins October 10 and Tulsa will open the season Oct. 28 against the Wichita Thunder at 7:35 p.m. inside the BOK Center.
