TULSA, Oklahoma -- Friends and family met at the University of Tulsa Tuesday to say goodbye to 24-year-old George Clinkscale.

The former Hurricane football star died last week shortly after an unsanctioned boxing match at Tulsa's GUTS Church.

There was barely an empty seat Tuesday during Clinkscale's memorial service. During the service there were light hearted moments, and heavy hearted ones as well.

During a slide show, fiancé Courtney Thompson pointed out to their daughter pictures of her dad. Thompson is pregnant with the couples second child.

TU Head Football Coach Bill Blankenship first met Clinkscale in 2007.

"There is another family, a close family. There is this family and then there's a Tulsa family," Blankenship said during the service.

Former TU teammates have established The George Clinkscale Memorial Fund at the Bank of America and have also set-up a drop-off location at the TU football offices for clothing and baby items for his daughters.
