Owasso Teen Dies After Crashing Car Into Tree

TULSA COUNTY, Oklahoma -- An Owasso teenager is dead after her car hit a tree in rural Tulsa County Wednesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Callie Currier was driving westbound on 136th Street North when she failed to make a turn at the intersection at Garnett Road shortly before 8 p.m.

Troopers say the 18-year-old continued straight and struck a tree.

The OHP says a stop sign in the intersection was down from a previous event.

Currier was taken to an Owasso hospital where she was pronounced dead.
