Originally from England, as a young age James was fascinated with storms, and as he grew up, wanted to learn more and more about them.
Eventually at the age of 18, he attended the University of Oklahoma to study meteorology. After OU, James returned to England to study Broadcasting and Photography. Due to a lack of work in England for a couple of years, he decided to move to Oklahoma and get a job chasing for News 9.
James had always admired the News9 weather team for their severe weather reporting - and was especially a big fan of Gary England. He now works as a storm tracker for News 9, and also works as a freelance photographer. Although a Brit, he finds it a pleasure to have the chance to serve the people of Oklahoma during severe weather.
