OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma Special Judge William H. Layden Jr. has been indicted on charges of perjury. The indictment, which specifies four counts of perjury, was unsealed in Oklahoma County District Court Tuesday morning.
Last week, Layden and two other people were indicted, each on one count of conspiracy against the state.
The recent indictment asserts that Layden had been sworn in as a witness in a Multicounty Grand Jury investigation when he knowingly gave false testimony concerning fees paid to the District 18 Drug Court.
Layden, Assistant District Attorney James Michael Miller and Drug Court Coordinator Angela Marie Marcum were investigated in accusations of embezzling money from the court.
Layden is a special judge of the district court of Pittsburg County.
