OKLAHOMA CITY -- Hundreds of inmates in Oklahoma will get a get out of jail free card on November 1. That's because a new law goes into effect to relieve prison overcrowding.

Oklahoma Corrections officers are getting ready to release as many as 250 to 300 inmates. They won't be totally unsupervised; instead, they will be wearing ankle monitors.

The new law makes non-violent prisoners, sentenced to five years or less, eligible to get out after just three months behind bars.
