TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa wide receiver Damaris Johnson pleaded guilty on Wednesday to felony embezzlements charges.
Johnson and his girlfriend Chamon Jones were charged with stealing more than $2,600 worth of clothing and miscellaneous items from Macy's department store when Jones was an employee there.
Johnson and Jones both received identical one-year deferred sentences. They will each pay a $500 fine and must complete 80 hours of community services.
Their cases will be reviewed again in one year, at which point the case will be dismissed if Johnson and Jones have completed their community service and stayed out of further trouble.
There has been no word on whether Johnson will be re-instated to the Tulsa football team following the settlement of his case.
News On 6 will update this story as more details become available.
