TULSA, Oklahoma -- The former British prime minister Tony Blair is coming to Tulsa next month.

Tony Blair is speaking at a Tulsa Business Forum event sponsored by Oklahoma State University's Spears School of Business.

"The Spears School of Business has been sending students to London with our highly successful study abroad program for the past 20 summers. Now it's our turn to host Tony Blair, and we couldn't be more pleased to have him as our guest," said Larry Crosby, dean of the Spears School of Business.

Blair served as the leader of Britain's Labour Party from 1994 to 207. He was prime minister from 1997 to 2007.

The November 1, 2011 event is being held at the Mabee Center in south Tulsa.

After speaking in Tulsa, Blair will speak later that day at two events in Oklahoma City.

Blair's memoir, A Journey: My Political Life, was released in September 2010.

Tickets are $75 per person.
