Tulsa Police: Woman Shoots Husband In Chest, Claims Self Defense

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman who claimed her life was being threatened shot her husband in the chest early Sunday morning, according to police.

Police were called out to the home in the 500 block of South Yale just after 3:00 a.m.

Police say the husband -- who had recently been released from prison -- was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police say the woman's actions may have been in self-defense and released the woman from custody.

Police say the .380 semi automatic handgun used in the shooting came up stolen.
