HASKELL COUNTY, Oklahoma – A one-car collision in Haskell County claimed the life of a Eufaula, Oklahoma man early Sunday morning. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

This happened at 5:37 a.m. on State Highway 9, about two miles east of Keota. The driver, 25-year-old Daniel Drummond, was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive head, arms, legs and trunk internal injuries.

Troopers said a 2009 Chevrolet truck driven by Drummond was westbound on Highway 9 when it departed the roadway to the left and struck a private drive, causing the truck to go airborne. The truck then struck the ground and rolled one quarter time, coming to rest on its passenger's side.

According to the OHP accident report, 21-year-old Falecia Drummond was also in the truck at the time of the collision. She was transported to Sparks Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with trunk internal, trunk external and leg injuries. She was treated and released.

Troopers said Daniel Drummond was not wearing a seatbelt, and Falecia Drummond was wearing one at the time of the wreck.
