Oklahoma Unemployment Rate Up Slightly

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's unemployment rate increased in September by .3 percent, according to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.

This brings the unemployment rate in Oklahoma to 5.9 percent. The U.S. unemployment rate in September, 2011, is 9.1 percent.

Out of a labor force of 1,738,590 Oklahomans, 101,850 are unemployed, according the OESC.
