OKLAHOMA CITY -- A day after a shocking upset at the hands of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Oklahoma Sooners fall to No. 9 in the BCS rankings, while the Oklahoma State Cowboys benefit from the loss and move to No. 3.

The Cowboys continued to harbor the favor of the computers, with four of the five computers ranking them No. 1. The lone computer that has Oklahoma State at No. 2 is the Richard Billingsly report, which is calculated in Oklahoma. OSU sits behind LSU and Alabama, who are No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, by just .04 points, a week after sitting a full tenth of a point back.

Oklahoma remains in striking distance of a national championship game, but would need four undefeated teams to lose in the coming weeks to benefit. The Sooners came in at No. 9 in the USA Today Poll and No. 8 in the Harris Interactive poll, 2/3 of the BCS formula.

The rankings set up a big Top 10 matchup in Manhattan, Kansas Saturday, with the Kansas State Wildcats coming in one spot ahead of OU at No. 8.
