BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa juvenile was arrested by Broken Arrow Police Wednesday evening following an armed robbery of a gas station in the 600 block of South Elm.

Police say the teen entered the Conoco gas station just before 7 p.m. and pulled out a small handgun.

They say he wore a blue, hooded sweatshirt, gloves and had a bandana over his face.  Police say he got cash then ran down the block.

The owner of the gas station happened to be across the street.  Police say he recognized the robber as a boyfriend of one of his former employees.

With the help of Tulsa Police and the U.S. Marshal's Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force, Broken Arrow Police arrested the juvenile at a home in the 600 block of East 54th Street North in Tulsa.

Broken Arrow Police say they recovered the handgun, sweatshirt, gloves and the money at the teen's home.

"It was really great to see everything come together so rapidly in this case.  The help we received from the task force and TPD created a quick resolution and took an armed suspect off the streets," said Broken Arrow Det. Cpl. Brian Gerber.
