Sunday marks the 125th year for the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, making the gothic-style cathedral older than the state of Oklahoma.
The arched ceilings echoed with the sounds of "Amazing Grace," sang by the cathedral choir. People attending services Sunday got a walk-though history of the church.
"Today we have a full service, celebrating through video, remembering the past, and bringing our congregation together," Minister Connie Jeske said.
The church began back in December of 1886 with 21 charter members. It was the first church to accept Native American members.
