New information has been released in an investigation involving four suspended Bartlesville Police officers accused of "official misconduct."

A search warrant affidavit was filed this week in Washington County District Court stemming from an incident at Bartlesville's Jane Phillips Medical Center emergency room on the evening of September 17, 2011.

According to the affidavit, a patient went to the hospital with suicidal thoughts and medical staff members were evaluating the patient when he became agitated.

Bartlesville Police were called and a "concerned citizen" stated several officers responded to an exam room in the ER, where the patient was located.

The affidavit says the citizen told investigators the patient had been handcuffed and became combative and that the officers "slammed (the patient) on the cot in the room, on the floor in the room and that, at one point, one of the officers had choked (the patient) to the point of unconsciousness."

The search warrant also states two surveillance videos taken in the hospital's ER were seized.

A few days after the ER incident, Bartlesville Police Tom Holland suspended four officers and requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation launch an investigation.

The OSBI says that investigation is complete and has been turned over to the Washington County District Attorney's Office.

DA Kevin Buchanan says he is reviewing the investigation and will announce his decision on whether to file charges by Friday, December 2, 2011.
