Car Crash Leads To Power Outage In Tulsa Neighborhood

Police say a car crashed into a utility pole near 26th and Yale early Tuesday morning, causing a minor power outage.

The crash happened just before 2:15 a.m.

Tulsa Police say the Corvette hit the pole and knocked out power to about 800 PSO customers.

The driver told officers his attention was diverted just before the crash.  He went to the hospital with minor injuries. A passenger in the car was not hurt.

PSO called out several crews who had power restored several hours later.
