SKIATOOK, Oklahoma -

A 21-year-old Skiatook man was arrested by Skiatook Police Tuesday night for violating the city's Social Host ordinance.

Skiatook Police Chief John Lawrence says officers got a noise complaint in the 600 block of South Creek.

When officers arrived, they heard loud music and yelling coming from the home. Officers then knocked on the door and were let in.

Lawrence says officers found 10 people, including 5 who were under the age of 21, drinking or holding alcoholic beverages.  He says the youngest was 15.

There were also numerous alcoholic containers in the home.

The owner of the home, Benjamin Stilwell was arrested.

Skiatook's Social Host ordinance prohibits a home's resident(s) providing alcohol to minors in a social setting.

Earlier this year, the Oklahoma Legislature approved a similar law that provides stronger penalties for hosts who knowingly allow underage drinking in their homes.
