Two 12-1 teams will meet for the 6A State Final at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 1. The game will be played in Stillwater at Boone Pickens Stadium.

One of Oklahoma's biggest high school rivalries took to the gridiron Friday night to decide who advances to the state championship game—and they didn't disappoint.

In the end, the Union Redskins edged out rival Jenks 30-29 in high school football playoff action to advance to the 6A state championship.

The No. 2 ranked Redskins led by quarterback Hunter Atyia sealed the win with just over seven minutes left when Atyia found the end zone after a fake handoff and six-yard quarterback keeper run for the advantage. After Austin Butler's extra point kick was good, Union held the one point advantage and closed out the game over No. 4 Jenks.

Jenks threatened at the end, but Union came up with a big goal line stand. Jenks decided to go for an 18-yard field goal that would have given them the lead, but a mishandled snap and the wet conditions prevented King from attempting the kick.

Atyia completed 18-of-25 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns as well as his go-ahead rushing TD. Ryan Mischler had 10 receptions for 132 yards and a score.

Jenks' Alex Ross left the game in the second half with an apparent re-injury to his collarbone. The Trojans finished the season at 10-3.

Jenks led 21-14 at halftime, before Union scored first in the second half on a 21- yard field goal by Butler.

Tigers best the Rams

Broken Arrow moves to the 6A finals with a win over Owasso. The Rams struck first with an 8-yard pass from Kason Key. Matt Gallagher somehow came up with it, and Owasso took the lead with a great catch, 7-0.

In the second quarter, Broken Arrow started pulling away. The Tigers answered with two TD runs from sophomore Devon Thomas. Cameron Wrenn took it up the middle on a 15-yard run making it 21-10.

Owasso struck once more in the second quarter on a Key pass to Gallagher, but those would be the last points for the Rams, who were held scoreless in the second half.

Broken Arrow posted 9 points in the third quarter, ending the game at 30-17. The Tigers dominated on the ground with 344 rushing yards again Owasso's 124.

Union (12-1) will now play for their fourth straight state championship title against No. 3 Broken Arrow (12-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 1. The game will be played at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
